Relational Symmetry of Light

Approaching the Special Theory of Relativity

Freedom of the will is only possible if space, time and causality are sensuous forms of intuition or categories of thought. For if the "world in itself" were temporal, spatial and causal, there would be nothing without reason why it is, and nothing would be free.

This seems to contradict the special theory of relativity. A time that passes more slowly when moving objects and a contracted space can not be sensuous forms of intuition. The same would apply to causality.

The contradiction can be resolved. Time and space are not substances, but quantities of the propagation of effects.
