Approaching the Special Theory of Relativity

According to the prevailing positivistic reading of the special theory of relativity, at high velocities time should pass more slowly and space should contract. According to this, space, time and therefore also causality would be positive reality. In this causal world metaphysics and the freedom of the will would have no place.

If, on the other hand, one understands the constancy and the finiteness of the propagation of effects ("speed of light") as an expression of the sensual form of perception of our thinking, which in further consequence brings time, space and causality into the world, then the will remains free and faith is possible.
